It's always an honor to shoot photos of friends of mine during a season of life where so much is about to change for them. We often make big life decisions not always knowing if the outcome will be a good one. Marriage for example is a huge leap of faith that many of us take while often still asking ourselves if we are mature enough, responsible enough, selfless enough to do it well. For my husband and I, the decision to have kids was similar to our decision to commit our lives to each other except that it felt way more reckless. Because when it came to raising children, we knew we weren't responsible, mature, and definitely not selfless enough to raise up human beings. But there is something about those sweet, deviant, manipulative, life changing little ones that really force us as parents to grow up quickly. I also have the privilege of shooting the birth of Malarie and Nathan's sweet little girl. What I love most about shooting births is the moment when I see two individuals fall helplessly in love with someone they just met. For Malarie and Nathan the moment baby Kennedy arrives, is the moment they are changed forever. Let the adventures begin!
