I am thankful...

I don't want to overwhelm you with a long detailed description of our thanksgiving weekend because I think the photos will speak for themselves, but I will say I came away from this weekend with an indescribable amount of gratitude for the family I have been so graciously given and the love that runs deep within those relationships.  Like most, our family has a history of turmoil, conflict, arguments, words regretfully spoken to people we love,  you name it.  I certainly don't think we are unique in that.  But the time we got to spend with my husbands parents, his siblings and all of their significant others was so special this past holiday weekend.  As I periodically sat as an outsider listening in on conversations filled with laughs and encouragement and praise to God I thought to myself,  forgiveness is beautiful when seen in action.  Yes those seasons of turmoil were certainly painful but I would not have wanted it any other way.  It's our learning to work through conflict and extend grace and forgiveness to one another over the years that has made our family relationships so rich.  So with that, our thanksgiving was filled with lots of laughs, conversation, singing, dancing, hugs, and of course eating.  And it wouldn't be a Ronning Christmas in Ellensburg without shooting shotguns and turkey "hunting" with Matthias.  In preparation for Christmas my husband and I also started some family traditions of our own.  Enjoy:)
