A Speedy Tour of Spokane and Coeur d'alene

It's not often I get to hardcore nerd out about photography with fellow nerdy photographers.  But Mica is one of those girls.  Mica and I have known one another for a a few years now but looking back I would describe our relationship as somewhat tumultuous.  Like most people I have a tendency to struggle with comparison.  As a new photographer trying to create a name for myself, I often felt threatened by Mica, an extremely talented and successful new photographer.  She was simply fantastic, not to mention she is one of the sweetest people I had ever met.  For a couple of years we didn't share much camaraderie let alone a friendship.  But after a few great conversations, great hang out times, and a couple of apologies later (on my end), I can say that Mica is one of my dearest friends.  I visited her in Spokane, WA this past weekend since she moved there about a year ago.  And despite the 9 degree temperature, we ran around like fools taking pictures of anything and everything.  I felt both encouraged and challenged by her as we took photographs together.  I appreciate all that I learn from her.  God has used her in my life to teach me more about myself than I'm sure she realizes.  Like how to be humble, how to encourage others despite my insecurities, and how to let go of my pride.  She is something special and I'm glad she's my friend.  Oh, and check our her photography because it's awesome! http://www.micasansaverlifephotography.com
